Hello I'm looking for some advice on the ODU and LNBF. I live in NW Georgia

I'm looking for a fixed dish to point at 125W C Band signal for Cartoon Network.

I looked at that the guide posted it appears i could get the satellite with a 1 meter dish but I'm wondering if that's large enough to pull in all the TPs or even a strong enough signal.

http://www.pctvlab.com/forum.php ... &extra=page%3D2

I have a SuperBuddy 29 for alignment and I'll be using the two Hellobox v7 sky ordered from the shop.

I just need help/advice with purchaing the correct ODU size and LNBF. Hoping I can do like a 1 meter off my deck and not a 6ft for one of these two satellites.

Like to use the 10FT wire mess dish I have for a different satellite later. Plus I dont think the wife wants it on the deck where I have no obstructions.

Some professional NorthAmerica friend will give you the suggestion for how to select the dish and LNB, etc...

Doubt very Much you will get any of those tp's on 125W with a 1 meter dish, as they are DVB-S2, why dont you just put a satellite actuator on your 10 footer & buy a V box to move your dish, then you could get all of the channels on all sats ?

reinard: thanks because that was what i thought also.

sideswiper: I think if I use the 10ft dish I'd have to relocate it because 125W is just above the tree tops where it's at now.

otherwise Id have to cut 2 trees between me and the neighbor if I don't move it. I'm almost certain without moving it back the trees are in the way.

My arc is clean from 37W to 119W but cartoon network on 125W and 133W where the tree line is. I know I cannot get 133W for sure.

I live on the wrong side the street because the other side I could get it. Here It have to get it up like 20 ft to not cut down the trees.

I would be Firing up the Chainsaw & cutting the Tops of those Trees i had to do the same to be able to get 58 W. I just got a long ladder & my Pole Chainsaw & cut about 20 feet off the tops & should be good for 5-10 years. I can not get any lower than 58 W as i can not cut the trees on my neighbors Property i get from 58 W to 139 W

Excellent replies SS. 8' might cut it for those tp but I would be inclined to using a 10' dish. I am using 2 lnbf from the shop where you purchased the receivers with excellent signal quality.

Cartoon Network can also be watched on 2 Atlantic sats. They scan in with a Latin American country but audio is in English:

43.1w-3808 V 15000

58w-3920 H 30000

I don't mean to hijack this thread but last weekend I was going to set my post for my dish but I didn't because I am trying to determine the best location.

My preference, for obvious reasons would be near my existing cable box; however, I have a 15 foot tree that would be withing 10' - 15' from where my dish would be installed.  There is a Directv dish installed on a post on the side of my house and would be curious how much movement I would need on each side of that dish in order for me to get full arch.  I live in Moyock, NC right on the Chesapeake, VA state line.

SatJunkie: Thanks for that info because I saw then there but thought they were in another language.

I could cut the tree its on my property but its like 40ft tall. Worried it'll take out the neighbors fence. Really I'd like to get rid them all then I'd have a clear arc from 37W to 138W

Tie a rope about 3/4 the way up & use a winch or truck to put tension on it to guide them to fall the right way not to take out the fence
